Who is Stempra for?

Membership of Stempra is open to anyone working in, or on behalf of, an organisation where 'scientific' public relations, media relations, or communication forms some or all of their job.

Our members include press officers and other communications professionals working for a variety of organisations including universities, learned societies, research councils and museums. We also welcome freelancers and consultants.

The annual membership fee, due in January each year, is £15. Membership is on an individual basis.


What does Stempra membership offer?

Free or very low-cost meetings, talks and events on relevant issues. Previous subjects include crisis management, media evaluation, podcasting and sponsorship PR.

An invaluable network of people nation-wide who share common aims and are able to advise on and sympathise with your problems.

A regular newsletter with the latest information on relevant science communication issues

A lively email discussion list where members can read about the latest Stempra activities and share best practise;
