Reaching journalists, are press conferences old news?

When is the best time to hold a press conference? Should you have one at all? As time pressures increase and journalists begin to operate in a 24 hour news culture to provide online, print, audio and video content is there still a role for press conferences? What are the demands on print and broadcast media in Scotland today and how do journalists want to receive information?

Join news correspondents from BBC Scotland, the Daily Record, the Herald and press officers to discuss the future of press conferences, what journalists need and what press officers can provide.
