What does the health bill mean for science?

The Health and Social Care Bill has been getting lots of attention in the media over the past few months, with many changes proposed for the National Health Service (NHS). As the NHS also conducts much medical and health research, this bill will have wide-ranging effects on science. But what will they be?

MPs are going to be debating the bill again on 6 and 7 September. Join your Stempra colleagues on the eve of the debate for a lively, informal discussion about what all this means for science and research. The bar will be open during the evening.

Speakers for the event are yet to be confirmed, but attendees are encouraged to write in with topics they wish to hear discussed. Please email Becky@stempra.org.uk with your suggestions and comments, or bring your questions on the night for our panel of experts to answer.
