Political Science: What does the new Parliament mean for us?
Now all the election parties are over, Nick & Dave are in cahoots in the rose garden at Number 10 and Parliament is full of MPs making their maiden speeches, but what does this mean for science:
- Have the old friendly faces really gone and are there new ones to replace them?
- What are the top science issues that Parliament is gearing up to debate?
- How does this new fangled elected science & technology select committee work?
- And will the true political colours show through on 22 June with George's emergency budget?
Join us for a spot of post-budget analysis where we'll tackle all these questions and more - with former Lib Dem science spokesman and science champion, Dr Evan Harris, Science Editor of the Times and keen analyst of all things science in Parliament, Mark Henderson, and Executive Director of the Cambridge University Centre for Science and Policy and former science select committee specialist, Dr Chris Tyler.
