Summer drinks, Simon Singh and Sense About Science

Summer’s here and the Stempra committee thought we could all do with a few drinks, so we’ve organised just that. Plus, we have 2 very special guests: the writer Simon Singh and Sile Lane from Sense About Science. They'll tell you all you need to know about the UK libel laws and the upcoming plans to change them.

As many of you will be aware Simon Singh was sued by the British Chiropractic Association two years ago prompting his campaign to change the law. In May they dropped the case against him, but this has not stopped him campaigning for change. Likewise Sense About Science is celebrating the latest news of a libel reform bill, but they want to ensure that meaningful change does happen.
