Out of the listings and into the news: making your event newsworthy

Read a report of this event here >>

Maximising publicity for your events can be tricky, even for the most seasoned press officers. Your event may be fascinating, fun and interactive, featuring top scientists in their field, but if there is no "new" science, how do you convince a journalist that your event is actually newsworthy? How can you use PR to make the most of your advertising budget and increase the exposure and reach of your event?

This Stempra event explored creative ways to promote your event, from spooky goings-on at the Science Museum's Dana Centre to science X Factor-style at the Cheltenham Science Festival.

Find out how to make your events sell-out successes with the column inches to match from Lauren Gildersleve, former Press Officer for the Dana Centre, and Sallie Robins, PR-extraordinaire for Cheltenham Science Festival
