Brainstorming for climate change: Copenhagen (COP15)
In just over two months from now the United Nations Climate Change Conference begins in Copenhagen. Are you a press officer working with scientists involved in climate change issues? What's on the agenda for you?
The purpose of this informal meeting is for everyone to be aware of each other’s plans for COP15 and to discuss issues such as:
- what are the key issues and how are your experts involved?
- what do journalists want and who will be available to comment?
- what press events/papers/book launches are planned between now and then?
Bob Ward, Policy and Communications Director at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, will give a 15 minute talk at the start to set the context. That will be followed by a general discussion for an hour or so, leaving the last 30 minutes to agree some firm ideas for cooperation. Followed by drinks and informal networking.
