Stephen White Memorial Debate

Blurring the lines: The future of PR, press and journalism

We regularly engage in discussion about the changing face of the media and the future of journalism, but what of press officers and PR? How are our roles as press officers and science communicators changing, if they are changing at all? Are new initiatives in PR and journalism blurring the lines between the two, and does it even matter?

For one of our first events of 2012, and in memory of Stephen White, one of the founders of Stempra, we've brought together several excellent speakers to discuss the issue closest to most of our hearts - our future role in the science media landscape. This promises to be a very frank and lively debate, and to get your grey matter going (and possibly your blood pressure rising!) before the event, watch out for Sallie Robins' article in the Winter 2011 Stempra newsletter... whether you completely disagree or think it's spot on, we'd love to see you on the 25th.
