Talking about animal research

As a recent opinion poll shows a marginal drop in public support for animal research, several of our largest biomedical research organisations have signed a declaration to be more open. It’s a wake-up call for us all in how we communicate about medical research that involves animals but how can we achieve more with our scientists still haunted by tales of extremists and many executives afraid to speak out?

Join us to discuss how the landscape is changing and how we can take advantage of new media to improve public perceptions of this essential research. We’ll hear from those who deal with this topic every day as well as press officers who have proactively dealt with the media to create positive stories involving animal research.
